The guided tour of Rancho campus is available from 9 AM to 6 PM only.This school was damaged by flood caused by cloudbursts in Aug 2010. The summer home of the royal family of Ladakh, Stok Palace is one of the major attractions in Leh. Built in 1820 by King Tsepal Namgyal, the palaceencapsulates and reflects the rich history and lifestyle of the royal family. It is situated amidst the valley of Singey Sangpo which is popularly known as Indus River. The architecture of Stok Palace is a fine meld of the traditional and the contemporary architectural styles. Comprising of beautiful gardens as well as a library that houses 108 volumes of the Kangyur (collection of teachings of Lord Buddha), the palace is amongst the must visit places in Ladakh. The museum rooms in the palace also showcase family treasures, including queen’s ancient turquoise-and-gold encrusted crown, which is called Yub-Jhur and a sword that the king’s Oracle managed to bend into a knot known as the Uri Geller–style. Stok palace still remains the summer home for the royal family. Annually a dance-mask festival is celebrated here in which local participate in a large number. The palace has now been turned into a heritage hotel and has six guest rooms and a cafe.

"Sindhu Ghat is a beautiful riverbank, situated near the Shey village in Leh. It is known for its unique and scenic landscape, which is consists of barren mountains, rocky terrains, sparse greenery and the Sindhu River traversing the region. The Sindhu River, known as Indus in English, originates near Mansarovar Lake in Tibet and passes through the distinct terrains of India before reaching its confluence in Pakistan. This river is counted amongst the seven prime sacred rivers of the country. Apart from its religious significance, the river earns fame as a cultural entity and symbol of communal harmony. This riverbank is the venue of a famous cultural event, which is named Ladakh Singhey Khabab Spring Festival. Celebrated annually, this three-day festival takes place in the month of June, on the occasion of Guru Purnima – the auspicious day of full moon. It is dedicated to the sacred river and is attended by people from surrounding as well as far-flung regions. The festival begins with a ritual that is performed by 50 Buddhist lamas along the riverside. Cultural programmes are organised at the venue that are followed by a short sightseeing trip, campfire and get-together. The third day is marked by a religious ceremony called Sindhu Pujan, during which the river is worshipped. Apart from being the venue of the famous festival, Sindhu Ghat is an apt place for river rafting. The gurgling waters of this river provide a perfect opportunity for the thrilling activity."

E. Since your Phone no. is not updated in the ticket, please recheck the flight time (outbound & inbound both) with the call Center one day before the flight.

F. Any Additional expenses incurred due to Train / Flight Cancel or Delay, natural disaster political actions and unrest (strike / Bandh) must be borne by the tourists.

A. Kindly note that names of hotels / Camps mentioned above only indicate that our rates have been based on usage of these hotels and it is not to be construed that accommodation is confirmed at these hotels until and unless we convey such confirmation to you.  In the event of accommodation not becoming available at  any of the above mentioned hotels  we shall book  alternate accommodation  at a similar or next best available hotel and shall pass on the difference of rates (supplement / reduction whatever applicable) to you.

C. Company will not bear any cost for a flight canceled or delayed due to Bad weather or any other reason given by the airline. Cost for accommodation and transport in such cases will have to be borne by passengers.

D. There would be no refund for the road blocks at Nubra Valley | Pangong Lake & Tsomoriri Lake due to natural calamity. The alternate accommodation Cost at Leh due to the same should be Paid by the passenger directly.

E. No Refund or Compensation for any unused services or transport in any kind of circumstance.

F. No changes in the date of travel once booked.

G. Room allotment will be as per availability at the time of check in, floor or view preferences are not guaranteed.

H. Food menu as per availability of vegetables based on Buffet | Fixed menus

I. Any dispute will be subject to Delhi jurisdiction

J. Cost of Child between 5 to 11 Yrs (Without Bed only) & for extra Bed kindly consider the cost of Extra Bed

  2. This ticket should be produced and would be collected by the company at the time of boarding.
  3. Timings mentioned in the tour program are approximate and are subject to change.
  4. Passengers are requested to be punctual. No refund will be made if the  passengers do not come in time at pickup point for what so ever reason.
  5. Children above 3 years of age will be charged full fare. It is advised, Children to  take full seat for long journey.  Children below 3 years who have not been charged would not be provided seats.
  6. Purchase entrance tickets from the monuments directly.
  7. Tourist will carry their luggage from vehicle parking lot of place of stay at their   own responsibility.
  8. Conveyance charges from the Vehicle parking lots to monuments / Hotels & any other place where the vehicle cannot reach due to traffic regulations will be borne by the passenger themselves.
  9. The management will not be responsible for any loss of articles in the vehicle or  outside during the tour.
  10. The company will not be responsible in any manner of any delay or inconvenience  caused to the tourists during the journey in case of breakdown of the vehicle,  failure of A/C or due to any unforeseen reason like traffic jams / Landslides / VVIP movement, which might be beyond the control  of the management and&ldquoNO REFUND&rdquo will be made to the tourists.In such  circumstances some of the places may not be shown & Food and accommodation expenses are to be borne by the tourist directly.
  11. Passengers are requested to wait at the pickup point given, if the vehicle is late,  still if the vehicle does not reach within twenty minutes then please contact  Local office immediately for necessary action.

  13. The management holds the right to shift the tour from bus to cabs/mini bus for  any foreseen reason at any point of time without canceling the tour FOR WHICH  NO REFUND WILL BE MADE. SEATING CAPACITY OF A/C DELUXE, CAN BE ANY  TYPE  OF VEHICLE.
  14. Rao Travels India Pvt Ltd. reserves the right to change the fares (if it becomes necessary) due to any increase in Government taes, fuel or any other incidental charges.  In such a case, New Fare would be applicable from the tour departure date and not the fare while booking of tour.
  15. Checkout time in most of the hotels is 12 Noon.  Arrangements from 12 noon onwards are made at all places wherever night halts during the journey.  If the vehicle reaches before 12 Noon, only fresh up arrangements are made before the room is allotted.  Accommodation is provided for stay only and all additional services such as room heaters, snacks, food laundry, etc will be paid by the tourist directly to the hotel.
  16. Tourists can make purchases from anywhere they like the company is not  responsible for any kind of purchases and not recommends any particular shop.
  17. No compensation will be available, if passenger does not take food / accommodation during the tour where the fare is inclusive of food / sharing accommodation.
  18. in triple sharing accommodation extra bed (matress) only will be provided in a double bedded room.

  20. No seat number is allotted in same day tours. Passengers can seat on first come  first serve basis, if seat numbers are not allotted.
  21. Any cancellation will be accepted on in writing/e-mail/ fax along with timings to   be mention in letter.
  22. Any refunds will be made through cheque only favoring the passengers name in  ticket as mentioned.
  23.  Cash coupon may be redeemed as a refund to your respective Credit/Debit Card account with in 30 days of the ticket cancellation.  The amount will be credited in your account within 8 to 10 working days after the refund initiation.
